Why IT-Intern suits children aged 5-7

  • They develop skills beyond coding

Hands-on activities help children develop fine motor skills, focus and logical thinking. They also learn to be patient and try again when something does not work the first time.
  • It is not two hours in front of a screen

Much of the lesson takes place away from the screen: building with LEGO®, putting robots together and figuring out why something does not move. Children get a healthy balance of digital learning and hands-on play.
  • They become more confident speaking up

Children share their ideas, listen to one another and proudly show the group what they have created. This helps them grow in confidence and feel more comfortable expressing themselves.
  • They create games, not just play them

Children program robots, develop small games, characters, stories and 3D models using creativity and logic. As they bring their ideas to life, they begin to understand coding and problem-solving.
Study programme
Year 1. Modules 1-3 · robots, ScratchJr, LEGO®
In this module children learn the basics of robotics. They learn to control and program robots, what a robot is made of and how it works. They work with Dash & Dot and Sphero - real robots that teach children to program in the form of a game.

After the module, children will be able to
  • Program the robots
  • Understand better how a robot works
  • Know the basic concepts of programming - cycles, iterations, conditions and others
  • Bonus: teamwork
Year 2. Modules 4-6 · Minecraft, Tynker, Tinkercad
We study the sequential and cyclic algorithms with Code.org, Scratch and Minecraft - the step-by-step and repeating instructions programs are built from, learned inside a world most children already know.

Hard skills
  • Knowledge of basic programming
  • Creating games and animations in the Scratch environment
  • Solving puzzles with programming in Code.org
  • Familiarity with the different aspects of the Minecraft world
  • Soft skills: Children learn to spot patterns, solve problems step by step and stay patient when their first solution does not work.
